HALCOMBE NOTES.
(Prom Our Own Correspondent.) The Halcombe Presbyterian minis ter (Mr C'limie) has received an acknowledgement of £4 7/U from Mr Clutha McKcnzie, chairman of the Sir Arthur Pearson memorial fund lor the blind of New Zealand. The money was the amount collected at the Haleombe Anzae service. Mr McKenzic; also sent the following: letter to Mr Climic: "Please accept the sincerest thanks of the New Zealand committee of the fund and of myself personally for the contribution of the Anzac Dai' collection to the fund for the blind. It is a welcome addition, and I should be glad if you would thank all those who contributed towards it. The fund, I am glad to say. is progressing steadily and we have now nearly £30,000. I may be able to visit Halcombe later on in order to give an address on the objects of the fund. —Yours faithfully (signed) Clutha McKcnzie." FOOTBALL..
