ROUT THE RAT.
HEALTH OFFICER'S' ADVICE. The Medical Officer of Health wrote to the Borough Council last night with regard to plague in India and precautions in the Dominion, asking that the Council continue its war against rats and mice, and pointing out that the Department desires that action should rather be continuous year by year, than that spasmodic action be taken on every occasion that plague was rife in some parts of the world. Cr. Graham said hej had always stressed the necessity for care in this direction. He moved, and it was decided, to refer the matter to the health committee.
