BURGLARS IN THE DISTRICT.
AT IT AGAIN. BUSINESS PREMISES ENTERED* The business premises of Messrs. Manson and Barr, Ltd., Rangitikel Street', were, on Saturday evening or Sunday morning, broken into by thieves. The first Intimation a “ Times ’* reporter had of the occurrence was last evening, when, wending his way to town, he was arrested by the sight of members of the looal police force with a step-ladder inside the doorway of the electrical department of the building. wielding efiectric torches in an obvious search for clues. The reporter interestedly joined the party inside the building, but was promptly ejected. Enquiries elsewhere yielded little information, and beyond the fact that the thieving party entered by a window above the door facing the street, no particulars were available. These burglaries are becoming more and more numerous in Palmerston North, and it would almost appear as if a person, or gang of thieves, was “ working " tho district.
