NASH PRESENTATION.
Meetings of both the ladies’ and the general committes of the Nash Presentation Fund were held yesterday afternoon, the Mayor (Mr P. J. Nathan) presiding. Good progress was reported in all directions and it was stated that the canvassers had all met with an excellent and willing response.
In view of the uncertainty of the weather, and the fact that the agricultural hall at the Showgrounds is rather out of the way, the committee decided to hold the conversazione in the Municipal Hall. As a number of people had intimated that they had not been waited on for subscriptions it was decided to ask both the newspapers to open lists.
In response to a„ request from the committee the “Times” has opened a list, and any resident who desires to contribute may do so at this office.
