THE KING'S MEDAL COMPETITION LONDON, May 8. Fiold.Marshal Haig, as president of the Rifle Association, has Induced the King to revive the King's Medal at Bislcy in July., for the best shot in the army, which Queen "Victoria instituted in 18fin, but discontinued as the army was distributed over the world. Field-Marshal Haig proposes that there b e six medals annually for the Homo, Indian, Australian, Canadian, New Zealand, and South African armies. He proposes battle firing con. ditions, to be devised by the general staff. The British competitors will be limited to 100. half representing the army and half the territorials.
