NEW ZEALAND STOCK.
AT EASTER ISLAND. New Zealand stock find their way to unbeaten quarters. Mr. A. W. Cook, of H. Matson and Co., has received a letter from Mr. P. H. Edmunds, manager of the Easter Island Company, advising that the two purebred 2-year-old Aberdeen Angus bulls, which they shipped in November last, had arrived at Easter Tsland in good order and condition. These two bulls were secured by H. Matson and Co. from Mr. Frank Armstrong-, of Akitio. who bred them. They were respectively first and second at the Dannevirke (Hawkes' Bay) Show as yearling's, in which year there was particularly strong competition. They were two exceptionally fine specimens of the breed, and having been reared on native country, and being absolutely unpampered, there is no reason why they should not turn out satisfactorily in their new surroundings. They were shipped at Wellington in November last by the Chilian training ship ''General Baquedano." together with 30 merino rams which were bought in Australia, and it is satisfactory to learn that the shipment was landed at Faster Island in good order an 1 condition on Christmas Dav, 1921.
