A PALMERSTON CASE
RESULT OF AN INQUIRY. Mr John Gillespie, of Palmerston North recently demanded an inquiry into his claim to be rembursed his expenses (about £400) in defending an action brought against him by a Mr Dale. An inquiry was held by Mr A. D. Thomson, who has reported that in his opinion there is no foundation for the alleged grounds on which Mr Gillespie relies. It is understood that Mr Gillespie intends pursuing the matter further. In the first place he intends asking that the papers in the case be laid upon the table of the House. He intends letting the country know the full facts in connection with the matter.
