OFFER BY MARCONI. [By Electric Cable —Copyright.] [Aust. and N.Z. Cable Association.] (Received Wednesday, 8.30 p.m.) LONDON, December 20. Signor Marconi has offered the Government of India direct wireless communication between India and Britain and elsewhere. He is willing either to construct a station at his own expense within a year and conduct an efficient commercial service, or build a station and conduct a service on joint account with the Indian Government, on a similar basis to that approved of by Australia. The cost of the station is estimated at £400,000, exclusive of the jiateul rights.
