BUNNYTHORPE NEWS.
During the year the school here has benefited by the following gifts:— Mrs J. Gore presented three prizes for sewing by the senior girls and prizes for writing in the primers 1,2 and 3; Mr Scheldt presented two footballs, one each for the senior and junior boys; Mr Maxwell presented the senior boys with a complete set of cricketing material; Mr Gallop gave three boxes of small plants for the gardens and a patent pencil sharpener; Miss Augusta Scheldt presented four prizes for gardening; Mrs Maxwell and Mrs Stafford gave several plants for the flower gardens; and Kairanga County Council made a grant of 25/ towards the upkeep of the gardens. „ Mr G. H. Bennett gave a prize for the dux of the school, which was awarded to Alan Maxwell. The sewing prizes were gained by Eileen Thurston Ist, Muriel Clark 2nd and Ivy Hazelhurst ard. The usual school treat will be held in the Domain on the 21st, when the prizes will be given out.
