AN OVERSEAS ROMANCE.

A tragic ending is reported to an overseas romance, which started last spring. A wealthy Canadian wrote to England, seeking a wife. The young Kentish lady selected was to have sailed in May, but for superstitious reasons she would not marry in that month. The wedding was further postponed as ttie consequence of an illness of the Canadian, who has now died, following an operation.
