THE SCHOOL CAMP.
(To the Editor.) Sir,—Schoolchildrens’ Health Camp, Turakina.—On behalf of this object, we would make a final appeal to the public-spirited in Palmerston North for assistance. Over 30 children have been selected from the public schools here. Three weeks under canvas under proper medical supervision, good feeding, and attention, will in all probability mark a turning point in their little lives in the matter of health, and well being. The sum of £6O is required from Palmerston North. A fair proportion has already been promised by the committees and others, and we feel sure that our appeal will be answered in the proper spirit, and the money found. The camp takes place on the 28th of this month, and contributions sent to either of the undersigned, or to the office of your paper, will reach the proper destination.—We are, etc., A. J. MAHON. W. R. DINNIE, Members Wanganui Education Board.
