THE BUBONIC PLAGUE.
TWO FURTHER CASES. [By Electric Cable—Copyright.] [Aust. and N.Z. Cable Association.] (Received Friday, 9.30 p.m.) BRISBANE, October 7. Two additional cases of plague have been reported, one at Rocklea and the other at Townsville. The Home Secretary announced that the Commonwealth Government was without supplies of the plague curative serum. It had applied to the State authorities for cultures of the local cases, from which to manufacture the serum. It is assumed, therefore, that the cases which have already occurred had not been treated with serum.
