OHAU LAND SALE. Yesterday Messrs Abraliam and Williams offered at Levin, on account of Mr F. S. Easton, the Te Ranawa Station, close to Levin, consisting- of 2991 acres, of both grazing lands and properties ’suitable for dairying. There was a very large attendance, but it soon became apparent that the majority were attracted more by curiosity than with any idea of purchasing. The smaller sections, suitable lor dan \ mg, sold fairly well, but the pastoral lands failed to elicit any competition, and the homestead of 1373 acres, with a leasehold of 82 acres thrown in, was passed in at £l2 10/ per acre. Out of the eleven sections offered only five were sold at prices ranging from £69 to £BB per acre for heavy land suitable for dairying. The following are particulars of the sections offered: Lot 1, 29,1191 acres, passed at £l6 If)/; lot 2’, 320 acres, passed at £27; lot 3 40 2 acres, with homestead and house of "twenty rooms, passed in at £ls- lot 4 13721 acres, with 821 acres of leasehold, passed in at £l2 10/; lot 5 eg acres, O. Tantrum, Otaki, at £69; lot 6 1196 acres, at £44 10/, to Mr A. McLeaw, Ohau; lot 7, 106 acres passed in at £43‘ lot 8, 513 acres, passed in at £79; lot 'o. r.l?t acres, £B2. Mr S. E. Deacon, Wanganui; lot 10, 51? acres, £BB Mr L. W Jeffries, Bunnythorpe; lot 11 48? acres, Mr W. Bolton, Otaki. The total for the land sold was £22,000. LONDON WOOL SALES.*

Messrs Levin and Co., Ltd., have received the following cable from London, dated 12th June. 1920;—“ As compared with the opening sales the March closing sales show merinos 5 per cent, lower, fine crossbreds and medium crossbreds 21 per cent, cheaper, scoured and slipe wool 21 per cent, lower.’’

Abraham and Williams, Ltd., report:—At Whakaronga on Monday, 14th inst., we held a most successful dairy sale, on account of Mr It. Dunford. There was a good attendance, and as the herd was young and well into the Jersey, most satisfactory prices were obtained, the whole herd averaging £2O 12/6. The heifers, although only two-year-old, sold remarkably well, making up to £23 15/. Sundries also sold well. We quote: Cows, £lB 1.0/ to £3O 15/. thteequarter cow, £5 10/; ag - ed Jersey bull, £9 - heifers in milk. £2O; springing heifers, £lO to £23 10/; E. heifers, £4 2/; horses, aged mares, £7 to £l7; aged gelding, £6; 7-year mare, £36 10/- 2-vear filly. £22; hay, £25 and £7O.
