A REPUDIATION.

(To the Editor.) Sir,—ln this morning’s issue of your paper appeared the following local: "It is understood that Mr J. A. Nash has been selected as the P.P.A. candidate for the Palmerston seat.” It may interest you to know that this is the first intimation that I have had of this matter. Further, that I have not waited upon, neither have I been approached by, the above or any other organisation in connection with the coming election. I look to all classes of the community to support me, and I think the suggestion made by you is quite unnecessary. I trust you will give this letter the same prominence as your local in today’s paper.—l am, etc.. J. A. NASH. Dee. 10th, 1919. [The facts are simple. Mr Nash HAS been endorsed by the headquarters of the P.P.A. The local branch of the P.P.A. has protested to headquarters against the endorsement of either of the candidates in this electorate. Headquarters has announced that it will give a list of the candidates in Palmerston and surrounding electorates whom the P.P.A. has selected in a Wellington newspaper on Saturday next. — Ed. M.D.T.]
