ENTERTAINMENTS.

KOSY. GOOD ALL-ROUND PICTURES. In "'Heredity,” a World picture starring Barbara Castleton, a little girl’s love for a young man, who passed out of her life for many years and returned just in time to save her from death, is charmingly illustrated first by' Madge Evans, and later by Barbara Castleton. The story is true to life and is presented in a telling manner by a competent cast, ably directed. A coui’t scene where the girl, innocent, is tried for the murder of her mother, is a prominent feature, and the mystery is sustained to the last minute. A striking phase of the character of the heroine is the inherited courage and faith that carry her through troublous times. The picture should prove very popular. The rest of the pictures are ast good as the star picture. Serial gets a great hearing—comedy a succession of laughs and topical is quite good, making one of the best all-round programmes for a long time. EVERYBODY’S. WM. FAENUM PLAY. Mary Martin, who plays in the William Fox success, ‘‘ The Heart of a Lion,” always sees the pictures in which she takes a part twice. The first time is usually with a friend, and she enjoys the picture as a spectator. But the second time /she will slip quietly into some small motion picture theatre and sit in a corner with pad and pencil. Wm. Farnum has the big part of the “doctor” in this Ralph Connor play.
