RAINBOW RIBBON.
UNIVERSAL WAR MEDAL. £Aust. and jN.£. Association. j (Received Tuesday, 5.20 p.m.) LONDON, September 1. The King has approved of the granting of a bronze victory medal, witnout a clasp attached, and riband with a reel centre and green and violet on each, side, shaded to form the colours, of two rainbows, for services in all theatres during the war period. It will be identical with that issued by the Allied and. Associated Powers, obviating the interchange of Allied commemorative war medals, and will be granted to all ranks of the British, Dominion, Colonial and Indian forces, memoers of women’s formations enrolled for service with, the forces, civilian practitioners, nurses and others w T orking in the military hospitals, who actually have served in a war theatre. •
