The ‘ ‘ New York Times ; ’ ’ Pekin correspondent states that it is reported that the Japanese Minister appeared at the Chinese Foreign Office and announced that Japan was prepared to return Kiaochau to China within two years, and in return Japan would expect compensation elsewhere.
