At Cambridge the police at daybreak found a n:iA-al sub-lieutenant, aged nineteen, nude, tarred and feathered ano chained by the neck to a tree in the main street. Leaflets had been distributed throughout the toAvn pointed that an army officer, recently married, objected to the naval man’s relations with his wife. A naval inquiry has been ordered.
