WELCOME HOME!
Several of the Palmerston returned soldiers, ex s.s. Willochra, who disembarked in Wellington at 2 p.m. j'cstcrday, arrived hero by the 9 o ’clock train last evening. The Patriotic Society wore advised at 5 p.m. that .50 men would reach Palmerston North by the 9 p.m. train. The men were met by the secretary of the society. The Volunteer Motor Corps were well represented, and conveyed all the soldiers to their homos. The Palmerston Band also contributed selections at the welcome to thc u men. The following men arrived: —2nd-Bient. If. 11. Push, Dvr. G. W. Bailey, Dvr. 1.. N. Brougham, Cpl. A. I*s. Collins. B/Cpl. W, S. Osborne, lifmn. 15. Penmant, Dvr. B. Poblnson and I’tmn. B. C. Sutlieihiml. Pvts. C. Dawson and Bert Maketin. Owing to the arrival of many nth! r 'soldiers for other districts it was impossible to Identify others who may tiave arrived for Palmerston.
