(Aust. and N.Z. Cable Association.) LONDON, Oot. 5. The War Offne, reporting on the Salonika operations states: — Fighting at Yenikoi ended on Wednesday in our complete success. We occupied the of the village, both south and north of the Seres road.
We spent the remainder of Wednesday consolidating our new positions from Orljak Bridge, along the Seres road to Yenikoi, thence back to the river through the Karakzkoi villages and the lowland. The Scottish and Irish battalions especially distinguished themselves in the recent fighting. The e/cmy suffered heavily.
