SAN FEANCISCO, August 28 : Although the Canadian authorities have sequestered several thousand Teutons who were in the Dominica when the war commenced, there has ben evidence of intrigue on many occasions. Many daring schemes have been discovered, and plots have been frustrated by the keen services of secret agents posted aH over Canadian territory. The detection, captur*, and execution of three German spies in Canada, masquerading as sisters of a religious order, formed the body of a thrilling story detailed by a New York banker on his return from a visit to Quebec. "They went one night," he said, "to the Chateau Frontenac for dinner. Their presence there was the subject of much comment. It was noticed that their wrists were heavy, strong, and hairy.
