MANAWATU PATRIOTIC SPRING SHOW 1915.

The thirtieth Spring show of the Manawatu *nd West Coast A. and P. Associati i will be held on -3rd, 4th, and sth November next, and the prize S'-'iedules now to hand indicate the that it is to be quite up to the si mdard of its predecessors. The show is being held this year for a most important purpose, and that is for the benefit of our Sick and Wounded Solri'ers. It is peculiarly fitting tuat this, the most important of our A. and P. Associations and the nearest approach to a National one we have, saould move in this direction and though the sacrifice is a big one the committee realises that there aro public duties to perform in which it willingly takes a share. No doubt the general pubKc~ will acknowledge this by giving generous support either by making entries or donating to the prize fund. Froh. the schedule just to hand we notice that the committee has not interfered with the prize money and wisely so, as the cost of preparing exhibits for a show of this magnitude is heavy, and exhibitors like to have at least a sporting chance cf recouping themselves cf their < utlay' - * Great improvements are being effected on the grounds foremost among which is a grand new cattle pavilion for the housing of all the purebred beef and dairy cattle divisions. This will be an immense boon to cattle breeders who will now be relieved of all anxiety from bad we'ather . We have not space to review the schedule in its entirety, but copies can be had from the secretary, Mr W. T. Penny, Box 85, Palmerston North. Our leaders will be doing themselves a service as well as assisting in a great cause by doing everything possible to make the Show a great success.
