BILL TO STOP IMMIGRATION OF ASIATICS. Press Association. —'lv Telegraph. DUNEDIN, May 29. In the Garrison Hall this evening Mr Massey addressed a crowded house on a large number of political questions his speech being mainly on the lines of those delivered in the South earlier in the week. He outlined the programme of the comingsession as in his Invercargill speech promising among other things amendments in the industrial law, the licensing law, electoral law ana also in legislation affecting education. He also promised further 'legislation to encourage the fruit industry. An Asiatic Immigration Bill would also be brought down which would stop the immigration of Asiatics to this countrv.

A motion of thanks and confidence and pledging the meeting to support the Massev Government was proposed and seconded. An amendment of thanks to Mr Massev for Ins address but expressing disapproval of the tactics adopted by Government to capture the Treasury benches as such an ere calculated to demoralise party politics, was proposed but the motion was carried by a very largo majority.
