Mackenzie accompanied the Aiixori "King" and his followers on a visit to Sir John Gorst, who was Civil Commissioner in Waikato during the Maori war and who is now recruiting at Margate. There was an affecting meeting with Taingahawa, whose father saved Sir John Gorst's life during the Maori war. Hon. T. Mackenzie to-day introduced the Maoris to the Hon. L.
