A GREAT STORM
HEAVY LOSSES TO FISHING FLEET. By Electric Telegraph.—Press Association.—Copyright. (Times. —Sydney Sun Service.) Received 7.15 p.m. PARIS, May 28. A great storm is raging on the south coast. There are heavy losses to the fishing fleets. The boats were driven from their moorings and wrecked and the crews are missing. RIVIERA COAST SWEPT. Received 12.5 a.m. PARIS, May 27. A heavy gale swept the Riviera coast. Fifty fishing boats were sunk, and eighty are reported missing from Toulon. Much damage was done to the Parade at Nice, and several fishing boats foundered at Ajaccio, with loss of life.
