In India the protests nave been very pronounced and very serious. It is advanced above all that they are British subjects and should receive consideration as such. Undoubtedly they have right oj their side, and something will require to be done. It is another phase of a very important que-tion that the British Empire sooner or later will have to settle—the colour distinction question.
