The interior is a mass of debris and broken furniture
During the day some 160 people are employed in t'-e premises, and had the accident happened in work hours the death roll must have been heavy. The fact that the ground floor was un iergoing repairs, including tae replacing of some wall work and girers, probably accounts for the collapse.
The managing director roughly estimates the damage at from £40,000 to £50,000.
