Prince Louis of Battenburg, at a meeting of the Union Jack Club, urged harmonious action between the army and the navy. , There was, he said, no more foolish and mischievous statement than to say t lat the fleet alone was sufficient to keep the enemy from Britain's shores. A sufficiently trained professional army was quite as necessary as the navy.
