CHAIRMAN'S HONORARIUM.
LOST BY HIS OWN VOTE.

At the Hospital Board to-day, ■ome discussion took place on the question of the payment of an honorarium to the chairman, and a resolution was proposed affirming the principle, and urging that legislation should be obtained to permit of the chairman receiving payment for his services.
This was eventually defeated on the casting vote of the chairman.
