MEASLES ON THE IONIC.
Those affected by the outbreak of measles on board the R. M. S. lonic are now housed on Somes Island, and on enquiry yesterday all were reported to be progressing favourably. Mr Steward, of the Health Department, has charge of the party, and th'. f*> are also two nurses to assist him. On Sunday afternoon the patients were conveyed to the is laud by the steamer of the South, which vessel also made a trip in the morning, when all the baggage was taken across. Nothing will be wautiug a 9 far as comfort is concerned, the Shaw, Savill, and Albion Company having arrranged for stewards and cooks to attend to the little community during their detention on the island. All told, the company now numbers eighty-eight, including cooks and stewards. The number of cases is reported to be thirty-three, an increase of two, and the coL-tacis have also been increased by two, bringing their total up to nineteen.
