SOME JOTTINGS. The engineer reported yesterday that should fine weather continue the main road through Siberia estate would be completed in about three weeks. The merging of Malton Blook into the County will be considered at next meeting.
Manawatu Motor Cycle Club wrote pointing out several corners at which they W uld like finger-posts erected. The Council decided that posts should be erected at crossroads throughout the County, subject to engineer's approval. It is to be hoped that these posts will give strangers some indication of where they are going and not bear merely the name of the road as many posts
I A summer road is to be constructed on western side of Kimbolton road from Hitchman's corner to Cheltenham, provided engineer's estimate is not too high. Tenders are to be called for regrading two hills on Stoney Creek road. The contractor "for Arapata road hopes to have 100 men on the contract shortly—if he can get theia.
