Melbourne, Lint-night. •Hie Engine-drivers' and Firemen's Associations ultimatum to the proprietors of the Lyell, directs drivers and firemen to cease work to-day if not granted the terms set out in Jlr Justice Higgins' proposed award; also motor drivers and electrical workers, unless they receive the terms proposed in the award granted to the Broken Hill men. Neither enginedrivers nor miners will return until they have commenced on the following terms, viz., recognition of union, the eight hours' principle, increase of wages a conference with the directors, and an agreement signed by the directors and the union officials. The secretary of the Engine-drivers' Union states that the claim for reinstatement of White has dropped.
WHARF LABOURERS RESUME,
