METHODIST CHURCH.
TEA MEETING. Wo were oempelled yesterday to hold over the report of the Methodist tea meeting in the Municipal Hall. The hall was ciowded and the proceedings euthrsastiic. After a spleudid tea a publio meeting followed, at which the Rev. G. W. J. Spenoe presided. The combined Palmerstun aud Feilding Methodist choirs sang excellently under the oonductorship of Mr A. Tregnrtha, Mr A. Temple Whit 3 , of Feildiug, at the organ. Soles were sung by Mrs Lane aud Miss Miller (encored), Miss Watson recited. The president of the Ornferenc?, Mi Ppence, expressed his gratification at the spleu* did attonda on and at the success of the combined churches ofPalmerston. Rev. J. A. Luxford (Major-Ohaplain New Zealand Territorial Woroes) recalled the time when he wss pastor of Broad street, aud congratulated the trustees ou the selection of the Gntl'ic style of architecture.
