The attendance was fair and totalisator receipts amounted to £9128, against £5685 ou tlie first day of last year—an increase of £8593. Results: Woodlands Hack Steeplechase, two miles.-Waustead 9.7, 1; Rosegrove 9.10, 3; Pushful 10, 8. Also started--Hoanga, Sunray. Sardonyx, Lionheart, Koliapatiki and Castle Cautar, Liouheart aud Kohupatiki fell, Hoanga ran off and Oastle Oantor was pulled up, and Sardonyx was lelt at the post. Won without pressure by a length, Pushful a hundred yards away third. Time, 3.49. Ladies' Bracelet.—Espartero 11.8, 1; Peaty 10.7, 2; Aiuato 11.13, 3. Also started—Hilaiian, Bunkum, Golden Water, Mertie Lad, Monsieur Soult, Longboat, Happy New Year, Water o' Milk. Won easily. Time, 2.49. Yasmak came at the home turn and won easily «y ten lengths, Sir Lethe fifteen lengths away. Time, 6,41, Whakatu Hack Handicap Hurdles, 1% miles.— Napper 1, Oapt. Bell 2, D'Nil 3. Captain Beli led for a mile and a-half, when Napper challenged and won by half a length, with tweuty lengths between second and third. Time, 3,24%.
