ESTATE VALUED FOR PROBATE AT £300,000, A LENGTHY WILL. The estate of the late E. J. Ridditord, of Lower Hutt, has been valued for probate at £300,000 says tho New Zealand Times. The deceased provided tor the distribution of his estate in a lengthy will followed by five codicils, the last dated within a mouth of death. To the widow is bequeathed the residence "Fern Grove," Lower Hutt, and £IOOO for immediate requirements. It is provided that upon Mis Riddiford's transference of her partnership interests in the Roainalmnga>operty to her sons (the remaiuiug partners) she shall bebome entitled to an annuity of £2OOO per annum, to be reduced to £2OO per annrim in the event of her marriage. A trust fond is to be created for the benefit of the 'three daughters. That in respeot cf Elsie Catherine Harriott Lindsay (who reoeived a marriage settlements to be £20,000, while the fund will total £30,000 in respect to each of the remaiuiug daughters Phyllis and Ngnire Riddiford. The large landed interests of the deoeased are covered by a deed of partnership with his sons, Edward Vivian, Daniel Henry Sfcrother, and Brio Leslie Rirfiliford, exeonted in Jane, 1907. Upon this deed stamp duty amountiug to £12,238 was paid. The deceased's interest reverts to the surviving partuers. The lands referred to therein are as follow : Te Awaite—sl,2oo aores. Glenbnru—l2,432 aous. Orongorougo-584 aores freehold and 7196 leasehold. PukH Ataa-5688 freehold and 5886 acres leasehold. Tablelands—B637 aorfß leessliold. Ruaniahauga--7GI acres freehold. David Davies (ex-employee) £160; William Anstis, (stockman) £IOO. Annie Lee, wife of Harry Lee (ex-employee) £IOO. Mildred Butler (housemaid to Mrs Riddiford) £250 and a life annuity of £IOO. J'or the benefit of Emily Pratt (niece) wife of John R. F. Pratt, the sum of £SOO is to be invested by the trostees.
