Lord Curzon, in proposing tho toast of "Tho Guests," said he believed the Imperial idea was progressing. The scattered units were drawing closer. He had seen the fear expressed that confidence had not reached expectations. Sir Joseph Ward, who had pub forward with intrepid brevity proposals which were not accepted, informed him the conference marked a greafr advance. Mr Geoffrey Fairfax, of the Sydney Morning Herald, responded.
