s Mr Ernest Short lias just concluded a large purchase of land fronting Kimbolton road at Cheltenham. Tbe blook cousist9 of 1100 acres acquired from the estite of the late Mr B. Yet another blastiug accident has ocouirad, fortunately on this occasion not fatally. The advanuo of the rinking Benson the enthusiasm increasing rather than diminishing, and the Feildiug rink, which offeis probably as good opportunites as any place between here and Wellington, still commands the attention of a largo proportion of the public. Saturday night was. uo exception to the rule and the rink was crowded.

Messrs A. Campbell and J. G. Wilson have been appointed Feildiug's delegates to the A. and P. Oonierenoe. SHOOTING. The shooting matoh arranged to take place at Cheltenham on Saturday was postponed and will probably take place next Saturday.-
