LAND SALE.
BARTHOLOMEW'S < ESTATE. The sale of this estate was, as advertised in the "Mauawatu Times," conducted at the Town Hall, Levin,, by Messrs Swainson and Bevan, Ltd., who repurtThere was a largfr attendance and keen competition for all the sections which ranged from sto 15 acres. All the sections weresold at most satisfactory prices, the> 92 acres averaging £57 10s per acre. The land is sitnated just ontside of the Borough of Levin and adjacent to the Horowhenua Lake. Mr J. G. Hankins wielded the hammer on behalf of the auctioneers, and the sale was undoubtedly the record land sale for Levin suburban property. The following were the prices realiued : Section 1, £848 ; 2, £376 10s; 3, £844; 4, £857 los; 5, £348 10s; 6, £3451 ss; 7, £846 10s; 8, £415 15s, 9, £344 10s,; 10, £391 10; 11, £346; 12, £308; 13, £1032 10s. One half acre adjoining the racecourse was also sold for £230. The total purchase money amounted to £5,535.
