Press Association. Wanganui, Last jNignt. An informal poll of ratepayers was taken to-day on the question of wheteher the -weekly should be observed ou Thurs ay or Saturday. The poll resulted in 640 SSS bein" east for the former, and 457 for the"latter. At a special meeting of the Borough Council, held in pvenine it was decided to iecommend tlio Mtaiafer fm to fi* Saturday as the hult-homuT ioi the combined district of Wanganui, Gonville and Eastbrook.
