ORCHESTRAL CONCERT.

A rare vocal treat may be safely looked forward to at the'next concert of the Palmerston Orchestral Society which has been arranged for 17th inst. T when the vocalist of the evening will be Mr M. Hamilton Hodges. He needs no recommendation at our handß. His Organ is the* finest in the Dominion to-day and the Palmerston North Orchestral Society is to be congratulated upon securing his services. The following will be Mr Hodge's programme numbers on bis forthcoming appearance here :—

First item: (a) The Inquirer;.(b) Her Portrait; (c) Romance from Rosamund; (d) Erl King. Second item: Across the far bine hills, Marie (Btamenthal), by ■- request. Third item: (a) Yon loved the time of Violets; (b) Eyes that used to gaze in mine; Songs of the Norseland) (Lohr); (c) Love, I have won yon (Ronald), A Cycle of Life.
