The President of the New York Life Insurance Company has explained to a Comuittee of Inquiry that the contribution to the Presidential campaign funds was intended in the interests of policy holders to help in the overthrowing of the silver platform and to support a gold standard, rather than to assist the general cbjocta of the Republican party.
