ATTEMPTED SUICIDE.
Plumber Shoot* Himself.

Auckland, Last Night. A determined attempt at suicide wa» made this afternoon in the town Square, Botorua, by a man named Emil Schubert, 40 years of ago. Behubert, who iB a plumber, has onW been in the colony two months. The" report of s revolver was heard, and Schubert wa» seen to fall from bis Beat. The police were at once communicated with, and they found the man had shot himself with a small revolver just below the heart. Medical men are unable to «ay whether the wound will prove fatal. Schubert gave as the reason for committing the deed, that he had spent all his money and he had no friends m the colony.
