A Mysterious Death.

Thames, Last Night. •At the inquest on Edgar Hall. 24 years of age, found in the harbor this afternoon, evidenco was given to the effect that deceased was in good employment and health and spirits, and no reason was assigned for taking his own life. As a matter of fact ho was joking almost to the last. When tho body was found the hands were closely tied with s handkerchief, but in such a position a* to render it quile possible that deceased had done this himself. There were wounds near the eyes, but medical evidonce was to the effect that they were caused by crabs. The Coroner described the case as mysterious and inexplicable and ona where a young man takes his life for no apparent reason. A verdict of found drowned was returned. Deceased's relatives live in the Selwyn district, Canterbury.
