FEILDING INDUSTRIAL EXHIBITION.

(To the Editor.) Sir.—l was surprised at the remarks which appeared m your issue of the 21st inst under the heading "Feilding's. Little Flutter." It would really seemf as if the Palmerston people, in then, desire to monopolise every institution and every idea, could not rest content to see other places making any step in the way of advancement. I want to tell you, sir, that the Feilding Industrial Exhibition is going to be a big success, which will make the Palmerston people envious perhaps, but it is not encouraging when the Times, which has always been the leading paper in the Manawatu district, tries to throw cold water on it in this way. I hope you will cease from such an unreasonable attitude and give us all the help you can. I am, etc., Feilding Besidbnt. January 23, 1903.
