Abraham and Williams, Ltd., report: We have only our Palmerston sale to report on this week, which was held on Wednesday owing to Thursday being Anniversary Day, and in consequence the sale was only a small one. An averag9 entry of sheep met a rather dull market. Good forward wethers made 128 9J ; fat ewes, lls Id ; lambs, 7s Id to 7s 4d ; store ewes, 5a lOd; cuil ewes, 4s 9d. Cattle were in shore supply; a few good peD9 of light ox beef sold readily at £7 12s 6d, £7 17a, and£7 19?. A few good fat cows came forward, but the demand was not so keen as of late, the best making .£6 16s ; 2^-year steers,' £5 11s. Weanefs are inclined to ease off in price owing to thenumber offering, vendors in mo-it cases having to reduce reserves before sales were effected. Best weaners made up toS4s; others £1 to 255.
