School Concert.
A capital evening's entertainment has been prepared for Friday night by the pupils of the College Street School. They have in hand a comic operetta \ Mrs Jarley's Waxworks." The opening scene is " Tho Show " at midnight, at which hour the figures of wax become very lively figures of flesh. Henry VIII soon pairs off with Mary Queen of Scots ; Julius Ctesar with Boadicea, Old King Cole with Bed Riding Hood ; and then the fun begins. Tho many atiendants in their costumes make the cantata a very pretty onu indeed.
Part two of the piogramtne offers great vuriety. Glees wil be'suug by tho upper pupils. There will bo action songs in fancy dress, the boys will indulge in christy minstrel mirth and melody, and tho school cadeis will give an exhibition of physical drill. As tho programme is a most attractive one, and the objects are worthy of wide and generous support we hope to see the children greeted as usual with a full house. The proceeds will bw devoted to the school piano and the school cadets fund.
