A Serious Charge.

Invercargill, August 27.
The hearing of the charge against Captain MacGillivray of killing Mrs Sneyd, by the explosion of a signal rocket on the return of the Fourth and Fifth Contingents, began at the Police Court to-day. _ The case has been adjourned from time to time owing to several witnesses not being able to attend on account of injuries.
There are twenty-five witnesses to examine. The evidence is similar to that disclosed at the inquest.
