Auckland, This day. A' protest was entered by a volunteer on the reserve against his being excluded from firing for the belt. T^e execntive, however, declined to entertain the protest, the question having already been fieely discussed. The charge for challenging a shot has been reduced from 10s to ss. .'*, There was another vexatious delay ■ j again to-day. Last night it was A^ cided to whiten the targets, but i^ w,as not until 9 this morning thttv^ the materials came out. Shooting will not commence until 11 o'clock.
