MR FRASER ABROAD
VISIT TO WHITE HOUSE
(Press Assn.) WELLINGTON, Dec. 28 According to .advice received from Washington by the Prime Minister's Department, President Truman' set aside preparations for his departure for Missouri on Monday last in order to receive the New -Zealand Prime Minister (Mr Fraser), who was accompanied to the White House by Mr Berendsen and Mr A. D- Mcintosh. The White House visit was the first of several calls made by Mr Fraser in Washington, including a visit to the Department of State where Mr Fraser and his party were received by the Acting-Secretary of State (Mr Dean Acheson). On Christmas Eve Mr Fraser m£t New Zealanders in Washington, including the staffs of the Legation, the Supply Mission, and the Joint Staff Mission and their wives.
