PRISONERS OF WAR
RELATIVES’ ASSOCIATION
The thankfulness ''felt by everyone on the return of sons and husbands from the war was referred to by the president of the Relatives of Prisoners of War Association (Mrs R. H. Spencer) at the final meeting of the association, which was held this week. There was' a good attendance. In presenting the Mayoress (Mrs Mansford) with a shoulder spray, Mrs Spencer said that Mr and Mrs Mansford had always taken a sympathetic interest in the work of the association.
Mrs Mansford, fa replying, congratulated the association on the success of its organisation, and on behalf of the women’s patriotic executive and the Zone D Patriotic Committee thanked members for their assistance.
Appreciation of the personal interest taken by the association in the welfare of prisoners of war was expressed by Captain TV. E, Moore. Sergt. T. C. Horton also paid a tribute to the work of the association.
